Several weeks have already passed since the year 2023 began. While I am reminded once again that we are in an era in which the world is thirsting for innovation and transformation, I also feel that we have entered a world with little sense of direction, wondering where we are heading. To name but a few of such phenomenon, globalization, which has long been a means of solving social issues, has given rise to new sparks of conflict, “growth” and “competition” are the universal responsibilities of communities and organizations even in a society where population decline is inevitable, and an increasing number of young people are seeking stability in a society that cries out for innovation. How are we going to confront these contradictions? We may need to recognize that we are facing an era in which we cannot wait for innovation of the social system itself, not to mention new technologies such as AI and the metaverse, to help solve these social issues. I am deeply grateful for your past support. We have entered our 18th year since our foundation. It is necessary for us to take a hard look at what our mission is and what we should do, and to set our direction. We will continue to face very difficult times in the acquisition of talents, but the organization will not be sustainable without taking on new challenges.
There is no GPS that can guide us to where society needs to go, but there is always a direction for the footsteps we take. We are going to pave the way forward not only by thinking well, but also by acting well.
At last but not least, all of us will do our best to support your projects, and we look forward to your continued partnership and support.
